Arsenal needed that win

Arsenal took the win over Newcastle Utd and qualify for the next round of the FA cup. The guests were the better team in first 20 minutes, they had the opportunity to score first, after one corner kick, Smith's strike was cleaned from the goal line by Gael Clichy, on the half time the result was goalless. The two goals for Arsenal were scored by Eammanuel Adebayor for 2-0, in the end of the game Butt from Newcastle scored own goal and the match finished 3-0.
Arsene Wenger said after the win: "We played against a good Newcastle side who started strong and they created some chances at the start and slowly took control of the game. In the second half it was completely controlled by us and we won in the end - I felt the second goal killed Newcastle. Overall it was a difficult game."

Can Newcastle stop Arsenal?

Today is the match between Arsenal and Newcastle for FA Cup round 4, which will be played on Emirates Stadium. Arsene Wenger will prioritise the two Leagues over the Cups from now on. Arsenal make dramatic exit from Carling Cup with defeat from their rivals Spurs this Tuesday at White Hart Lane. And the manager will certainly name the strongest side available he only has 17 first-team players at his disposal as he goes all out to win a trophy the club lifted in 1998, 2002, 2003 and 2005. Arsenal's fans hopes that the will qualify for the next round.
