FC Arsenal History

Football club Arsenal London is founded in 1886 and also well known as: "The Gunners". Arsenal is based in Holloway, North London. It is one of the most famous and popular football club in England, thirteen times have won (before first devision, now Premier league) and ten FA Cups(English Cup). In 1930s Arsenal won five First Devision League titles and two FA Cups, they also made two times double(to win league title and national cup) and won Premier league in 2004-04 unbeaten, in 2005-06 became the first London club reached the UEFA Champions league final. Last season they finished 4th in Premier League and now on first place with point front the second.
The club have several times changed their home, Arsenal was founded in Woolwich - south-east London, but they moved to Highbury north across the city in 1913. And finally in 2006 they moved to their current home the Emirates Stadium with capacity 60,400.
Arsenal has a large and diverse fanbase, who hold a string of long-standing rivalries with several other clubs; the most notable of these is with neighbours Tottenham Hotspur, with whom they regularly contest the North London Derby. Arsenal is one of the richest clubs in English football (worth over £600m as of 2007), and thanks to their stature, have regularly featured in portrayals of football in Enlgand. The current coach of the team is Arsene Wenger.
