The team will be disappointed!

Cesc Fabregas said that, if Arsenal don't win the title, the team will be disappointed. This he said after the win against Newcastle.
Meanwhile Alex Ferguson's team Man utd is back on the top with yesterday win over Portsmouth with 2 goals scored by Ronaldo. The most important match will be between the two teams.
Chelsea takes third place with win over Reading with 1-0.

Diaby signs new deal

Abou Diaby will sign long term contract with Arsenal until 2012, the 21 year old Frenchman came from Auxerre in January 2006. But he has injured against Sunderland and didn't play for seven months, now he is ok and can play if he is in best form. He has 53 matches for Arsenal, he also played last win over Newcastle with 3-0.

Flamini has stepped up this year

Cesc Fabregas has urged Mathieu Flamini to sign a new contract with Arsenal. The Frenchman make another dynamic performance against Newcastle, Flamini’s current deal expires this summer and, as far as Fabregas is concerned, it’s vital that the Frenchman extends his contract.
Mathieu said that now he already wants to stay in Arsenal, after his incredible goal yesterday.

Don't discount Chelsea in the title race!

Arsene Wenger thinks that even though Chelsea is in the seven points behind Arsenal, they are still title contenders. Arsenal have match with the Blues on Stamford Bridge to play, the first match between the two teams with win.
Today in the evening the Gunners will play with Newcastle again on Emirates Stadium round for Premiere league, this weekend Arsenal win the FA Cup against the same team with 3-0.

Are there any goalscoring secret?

Arsenal's striker Emmanuel Adebayor thinks that maybe he has found the secret of finishing, he score 8 goals in last six games, where he was played including the cups. The tall Togolese striker also fight for the first team place with: Robin Van Persie, Eduardo and Nicklas Bendtner.
Adebayor said: "This year I've had a chance to start all the games and just try to make goals, at the moment, everything is going into the net. Everything is going the right way for me and the fans are singing my name. I am just enjoying myself."

Arsenal needed that win

Arsenal took the win over Newcastle Utd and qualify for the next round of the FA cup. The guests were the better team in first 20 minutes, they had the opportunity to score first, after one corner kick, Smith's strike was cleaned from the goal line by Gael Clichy, on the half time the result was goalless. The two goals for Arsenal were scored by Eammanuel Adebayor for 2-0, in the end of the game Butt from Newcastle scored own goal and the match finished 3-0.
Arsene Wenger said after the win: "We played against a good Newcastle side who started strong and they created some chances at the start and slowly took control of the game. In the second half it was completely controlled by us and we won in the end - I felt the second goal killed Newcastle. Overall it was a difficult game."

Can Newcastle stop Arsenal?

Today is the match between Arsenal and Newcastle for FA Cup round 4, which will be played on Emirates Stadium. Arsene Wenger will prioritise the two Leagues over the Cups from now on. Arsenal make dramatic exit from Carling Cup with defeat from their rivals Spurs this Tuesday at White Hart Lane. And the manager will certainly name the strongest side available ­ he only has 17 first-team players at his disposal ­ as he goes all out to win a trophy the club lifted in 1998, 2002, 2003 and 2005. Arsenal's fans hopes that the will qualify for the next round.

No problems between the two strikers?

Arsene Wenger says that there are no problems between the two strikers Niclas Bendtner and Emmanuel Adebayor and they will improve the togetherness inside arsenal's team. After the defeat from Tottenham with 5-1 for the Carling cup both players almost fight each others, but after the incident Adebayor apologize to the younger Danish player. Arsene thinks that the conflict between them is coming from the bad result, because this season Arsenal didn't lost with those big difference.

Changes in defence

Arsene Wenger will make a couple of changes in the back of Arsenal defence, he will put back in play Senderos and Clichy for the FA Cup Fourth Round tie against Newcastle at Emirates Stadium on Saturday. Philippe Senderos missed the match with Spurs, because he had an nose injury last weekend against Fulham . Gael Clichy is returning from groin problem and now he is available.

Arsenal lost from Tottenham


Arsenal was defeat with 5-1 from Tottenham in 2nd leg semi final of Carling Cup. Nine years the Gunners wasn't lost from Hotspurs but now its happened. The youngster played almost good but not in deffence, they hadn't luck enough, for Tottenham this is the only chance to save the season to win Carling Cup. Today is the game between Everton and Chelsea, first leg finished with won for the Blues with 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. We hope that Arsenal will dominate in Premiere league and Champion league.

Osasuna wants Vela

Carlos Vela will join on loan La liga club Osasuna and he will return to Arsenal this summer. There are more two loans, the first one is Jay Simpson, who plays for Millwall. The 17 year old Fran Merida goes to Spanish second devision team Real Sociedad. Arsene Wenger hopes when this boys come back will have enough experience to play in Arsenal formations.

Fulham vs Asrenal match report

Arsenal kept the top position with the won against Fulham away with 3-0(Adebayor '20'39, Rosicky'82). In the moment the gunners are second with the same points as Man utd. With the two goals Adebayor already have 15 goals in premier league, in the match he scored twice with head. At the end of the match Eduardo worked himself into space on the left byline and the flying Rosicky fired in a low volley at the far post.

Walcott will succeed


Arsene Wenger faith that Theo Walcott will succeed in Arsenal. It will be two years from arriving of the wing from Southhampton for 8 million pounds. Wenger admits that the 18-year-old is not yet ‘there’ but he is sure it will happen. All Arsenal fans believe that one day Walcott will become a key player in the team.

Russian players can come

Arsene Wenger is watching a couple of Russian players and if he like them, they can sign with Arsenal. The first one is Zenit St Petersburg's striker Andrei Arshavin and 17-year-old Torpedo Moscow defender Vyacheslav Dmitriev, the both player are linked and have opportunity to move in Arsenal.

Diarra leaves Arsenal

Arsenal confirmed, that French midfielder Lassana Diarra singed with Portsmouth for an undisclosed fee. 22 years old player came to the gunners from Chelsea in the last moment 31st August 2007. Diarra had 13 games for Arsenal.

Three Arsenal's player are selected for international duty. Eduardo will play for Croatia against Holland on 6 February. Lukasz Fabianski has been selected for the Polish squad will face his teammate Tomas Rosicky, who will played for Czech Republic. The match will be played on February 6 in Cyprus.

If Flamini will stay?

Arsene Wenger hopes that Mathieu Flamini will stay at Arsenal, because in the end of this season his contract expires and the French midfielder can leave the gunners as free agent. This season Flamini find his first team place and in this moment he is happy at Arsenal. The 23 year old Mathieu wanted to leave the club last summer but opted to stay and fight for his first-team place.

Clichy - about disappointing draw

Arsenal's left back defender Gael Clichy said, that they have had things too easy so far this season, he belives this is one of the reason for drawing on Saturday against Birmingham.
He also said: "Manchester United were top before the New Year by just one point and now it is the same picture again. We just have to play our best game. We know we have the quality to win it. It is disappointing losing two points like this, but we have to look forward to the next match."

Weneger takes the responsibility

The French coach takes full responsibility over Saturday game between Arsenal and Birmingham which finished draw 1-1. He said: "I take full responsibility. Theo Walcott - the young hope


In England thinks that its time the young gunner Theo Walcott go to loan to re-establish himself. Arsenal drawed with Birmingham


Arsenal London finished 1-1(Adebayor'22pen., O'Connor'48) against Birmingham City on Saturday at Emirates Stadium. In the first half the gunners were the better team and deserved took the lead Emmanuel Adebayor scored for 1-0. Three minutes after the break O'Connor made 1-1, until the end, only the good play of Birmingham's defence kept the point. This is the second draw at Emirates Stadium this season, the first one was against Man utd.

Today Race

If Arsenal want to stay on top have to beat Birmingham City. Man utd is 2 points behind the gunners and played at Old Trafford with Newcastle utd, Chelsea will play the London derby against Tottenham in Stamford bridge.
Johan Djourou (groin) and Robin van Persie (thigh) picked up injuries in the midweek draw with Tottenham. However the Dutchman’s problem has not really been assessed because he has been bed-ridden with flu ever since.

Anelka's move is the biggest regret

For Arsene Wenger the biggest regret in his career in Arsenal is Anelka's transfer to Real Madrid. Nicolas Anelka came to Arsenal from PSG in February 1997 when he was only 17 years old. After a year he helped Arsenal to won a double.
A meandering career took him to Real Madrid, after that he returned to PSG and had played also for Liverpool Manchester City, Fenerbache and Bolton. This Friday he signed with Chelsea, the transfer coasts to the Blues 15 millions pounds.

Arsenal academy

Arsenal's academy manager Liam Brady said that the team is producing enough quality players to feel at home in the first team. Mark Randall, Henri Lansbury, Kieran Gibbs and Justin Hoyte graduates the academy and have all appeared in the League Cup this season, and Liam believes that there more talented youngsters further down the system awaiting their chance.

Young Gunner goes to Spain

The young Arsenal midfielder Fran Merida joins the Spanish second devision club Real Sociedad until end of the season. Fran arrived in Arsenal in summer 2006 and made his debut against Boreham Wood in a 4-0 pre-season friendly victory, in this game he scored his first goal for the gunners. Fran Merida is formerly of FC Barcelona.

Arsenal drawed in Carling Cup

The Gunners made 1-1 with Tottenham in 1st leg of semi-finals for Carling cup. Spurs scored in the first half, but in the end of the game Theo Walcott made 1-1 and everyone is expect with interest the second leg after two weeks. Denilson thinks, that everything is still to play for in the Carling Cup Semi-Final.

Henry one day go back?

Thierry Henry told that one day can go back to Arsenal, he feels also a gunner. He played in London for eight years producing an incredible moments during his time in north London and breaking Ian Wright's goalscoring record.
The Frenchman said: "To play for Arsenal for eight years, winning or losing at Highbury, the joy, the sadness, everything was simply incredible. I'm proud to have played for Arsenal and to be a fan. Before I didn't support any club, but now I'm an Arsenal fan and it's difficult for me to not follow the matches."

Van Persie is back to play

Robin Van Persie is back for Carling Cup semi-final against Tottenham Hotspurs, he will return from injury. Since 23 October the Dutch player has played just 83 minutes for Arsenal.


Lukasz Fabianski will also start the game, Johan Djourou and Philippe Senderos will start as central deffenders, Theo Walcott is available too.

Player of the Month

The fans certainly agree, they chose the Croatian striker Eduardo da Silva for player of December. He exploded in Carling Cup against Blackburn Rovers with two goals, the second one scored in extra time. Eduardo also scored two to Everton away to turn a one-goal deficit into a 2-1 lead. The Croatian scores one goal against West Ham and one against Burnley, taking his recent tally to six in just four games. He is probably the Club's most natural finisher since Ian Wright.

Lehmann's future?

Chelsea will suffer

Arsene Wenger said, that Chelsea will suffer, not Arsenal from the hard hit by the ACN(African Cup of Nations). The Gunners lose Alex Song, Emmanuel Eboue and Kolo Toure to the Tournament which started at the end of this month, while the Blues will be missing Didier Drogba, Mikel John Obi, Salomon Kalou and Michael Essien. And Wenger says Chelsea will feel the impact most of all.

"When you do buy them, you have to consider how many to go for. If you lose four or five games at that time, you can't win the championship so you have to consider the balance," he said.

Arsenal goes to the next round

Arsenal won Burnley with 2-0(Eduardo '9, Bendtner '75) in 3rd round of FA Cup and qualify for next round. This was the sixth goal for Brazilian striker in his last four starts for the club.

Arsenal held on with comfort. But, in a straightforward afternoon, they had barely been out of their comfort zone from the moment Eduardo had given them the advantage.

Real Madrid wants Arsenal's midfielder Francesc Fabregas, but insist his aim is to win the Premier League with the Gunners. Cesc said that it is incredible compliment to be wanted from such a big team like Real, now he thing only how to win the English tittle and others Trophy. David Beckham is training with Arsenal's team, Wenger said that Becks will only training and will not take a part in games. David Beckham was pictured with number 23 arsenal's training kit during his first training session on Friday . "We give a kit to everyone who practices. When a triallist comes from anywhere in the world we give him a kit," said the Frenchman.

Arsenal stay in top


Arsenal start the new year as they finished it, with win 2-0 over Hammers.
The London club are leaders with 2 points front of Man Utd. The Gunners play for FA Cup this Sunday against Burnley, they also reached the semi finals of Carling Cup and will play against Tottenham hotspur.

Van Persie will return soon

Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie is still injured, he has muscular problem, the player didn't have a full game from three months . Robin is out for the next game with Burnley for FA Cup on Sunday, but maybe the 24 year old Dutchman will return in the end of next week. We all expect Van Persie against Birmingham on 12 January.

Song in squad for African cup

The 20 year old Arsenal player Alex Song is called up in Cameroon's squad for African cup of nations.

Alex Song is one of the three Arsenal players at duty of African cup, other two players are Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue, which will play for Ivory Coast squad. The trio will miss about eight gunner games.
